Letter About The Battle To Enter Heaven

This letter was sent to a special person. I’m sending it to you because I think it may help you too.
Hello my friend,

Yes, continuing our communications through email is fine for now until you are ready for direct communication by phone or SKYPE. I do have to ask your patience though over the next month with replies taking longer. During December I have several community outreaches to the poor and they require a lot of my time, energy and labor.
Romans 3:23 tells us, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” This and many others like it tell us one simple fact: There is absolutely nothing that we can do to earn or merit the love of God. Not obeying all of God’s rules as you say…or by doing enough good works to ‘qualify’ for entering His kingdom. God took care of this problem of separation over 2000 years ago by defeating Satan on the Cross in Jesus Christ. He came to us first, bringing His love through Jesus, so that we didn’t have to struggle with trying to achieve something which we were unable to achieve.

What this means is this: To receive God’s love and forgiveness…all we have to do is ask and accept. We ask because He tells us to…not to inform Him of anything He doesn’t already know…but to remind us of who we are before a holy and perfect God, bringing His love to us by His grace alone as a free gift. The choice to accept this or not is always within your power alone. What Satan never wants any of us to believe, is that we have this choice before us all of our lives, and he can do nothing to change it. He tries to, very successfully, through every stage of life for many, mostly because people still believe that there is some kind of a balance of power thing between Jesus and Satan. This simply isn’t the truth.

For example; God is omnipotent…meaning that God is able to do anything possible of being done…while Satan’s power is limited to time and space. God defeated Satan at the Cross in Jesus’ death and resurrection…which was sufficient to pay for all sins of mankind since our creation until Jesus returns again. Satan could do nothing to prevent it from happening or stop Jesus from returning again. Satan’s power has been limited to this time frame and he knows it. His reaction is to try to convince any who will believe him that his power is equal to God’s. When you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you accepted an open door to heaven that Satan cannot close… either through any promises made to him, or by mistakes you make because of his efforts to stop your faith
and trust in God. It is not a legal battle over contracts made between parties as many fear. God is not a contract God …but a covenant God. One who makes promises to love and protect us… to provide a way for us to draw close to Him and never to leave us… all of this before we ever seek Him or understand why He loves us so much. Satan would like to bog you down into believing that his promises …made to a liar, (Satan is the father of lies) are still binding, because of services supposedly provided… the essence of a contract. Satan has no standing before God or in God’s court of divine judgment… because he was thrown out before we were ever created for disobedience and trying to overthrow his Creator… trying to make himself God… which he could not. God has set before Satan a
limited time frame to be our accuser …always pointing out our mistakes and sins which he himself generally causes. Yet, God planned before we were born for Jesus to become what He is – our defender, intermediary, protector and savior, as our substitute for every sin that Satan accuses us of… rendering Satan’s accusations impotent and powerless.

This is why I said your name is written in the Book of Life. God knew the day appointed in time when you would accept Jesus Christ and your name was entered into the Book when the Book was created. Names are not written in this book and later removed for any reason, because God is omniscient – all-knowing. This is God’s complete and perfect knowledge of everything that has happened and will happen… meaning that He knows the future as the future, not as the past. Knowing what choices you will make or will do… does not mean that you have already done them. You have free-will as a gift that God will not remove from you or anyone. Just because He knows what you will choose… does not mean that He has taken your choice away.

I say all this because your questions indicate that you are fearful of promises made to Satan, as somehow binding over you in this life… or possible blocks to your salvation of entering into the kingdom of heaven and eternity. This is a prominent lie which Satan maintains over many… especially anyone who has suffered abuses in life at his bidding. For example; all abuses you suffered at home or anywhere, were done at his instigation. He then further abuses your understanding, by tricking you into believing that the so- called protection he provided was done out of love for you… or that somehow, he valued you over your earthly abusers. The truth is that this is one of many ways he uses to control people into following him and believing in his power… for the simple purpose of keeping you away from the truth of God’s love and purpose for you. Satan tries to maintain this by promoting supposed facts about what it takes to enter into heaven… facts like the ones you questioned in your letter, that simply aren’t true issues that will keep you out.

Yes… God wants you to STRIVE for a pure heart, through seeking His will in obedience and by receiving His ‘unconditional’ love. He knows that none of us can be prefect or pure, because of sin for the reasons stated above. We can draw near to His perfection every time we allow God’s love to be perfected in us and through us to others… without expectations of a response from those who receive it, just as He gives love to us. Yes, God wants us to participate in the life of His church… the people who make up the Body of Christ. A place or building of regular attendance is not the church that Jesus refers to as being a place to love unconditionally… to achieve change that glorifies Him. His ‘church’ is wherever two or three gathers in His name to worship and glorify Him. This can happen anywhere and anytime with whomever seeks His presence and Spirit.

Worship of God is participation… of being involved in people’s lives to assist in time of need, teaching His truths when asked, joining in the celebrations of life with God here. Our future for eternity is continuing the celebration we begin here and now, because of what He has already done for us to solidify that. We honor Him by bringing glory to His name, every time we represent His love to another person in need of it, ministering to the hungry… the naked…the homeless and to a single thirsty child every day as we seek His presence with us. You enter His kingdom every time you do these things for Him… without regard for what it means for you.

So yes, one who is not pure and righteous can enter heaven, because of Jesus purity and righteousness… and for no other reason. Just as another human being, or even a demon, cannot stop a believer from entering heaven… neither can one part of a multiple stop another from becoming exactly what Jesus wants them to become. This struggle can exist because some parts have not yet believed the truth about God in Jesus Christ. I hope to have the opportunity to help teach them these truths, so they can freely choose for themselves who they will follow. Satan has had a stronghold here for many years, but that stronghold was broken when the first part accepted Jesus freely.

You have an understanding of the struggle that awaits all parts… in acknowledging that some parts have the free will to choose to ask Satan, or his protectors (which they really aren’t…more like his controllers) over you, back inside. God does not forcibly remove these alters’ choices and chooses to reveal His truths to them when they are ready, so that they can freely choose Him over Satan. You, or any part that has already chosen Jesus, cannot have your choices revoked by another part. The journey of healing spiritually is the process of each part learning God’s truths for themselves, until the manipulation and control of Satan is broken forever in your life. Again, this doesn’t mean that you will no longer sin, but it does mean that when you or any part does, you have Jesus present and
waiting to hear your request for forgiveness… and His promise to do so out of His love for you all. Even after every part accepts Jesus, and you are all in one commitment  to cast out every demonic spirit from inside you through the power of Jesus Christ alone… you will still be faced with the onslaught of Satan’s efforts to get back in and turn your
focus away from Jesus. That is when the truth that Jesus will never leave you alone to face this, can strengthen your resolve and that of every part to contend with life until you are finally at rest with Him for eternity.

“For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing (Satan), shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”  Romans 8:37-39

So say we all. Your friend and brother-in- Christ, Pastor Michael Chalberg
