OUTREACH MINISTRIES
Giving without expecting anything in return.
“Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you invited Me in, naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and ou visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me. Then the righteous will answer Him saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or hirsty and give You drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invited You in, or naked and lothe You? And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?
And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.”
Matthew 25: 34-40
Our Lord Jesus Christ set the example for this path of ministry, outside of the temple in Jerusalem and everywhere He visited in different communities. He ministered to people in need using life-sustaining examples like food and water, clothes, healing, and loving relationship, often to people who had no idea who He was, or His motivation behind his deeds. We endeavor to do the same in the communities we live. This is a simple approach for ministry by encouraging support for any organization with the giving of spiritual guidance and personal involvement necessary to connect donors and volunteers to those in need of these life-sustaining needs through people not expecting anything in return. It is our hope this ‘street’ ministry will grow to reproduce in surrounding communities in teaching by example, how to help those in need in their own community by neighbors practicing His love.
This outreach ministry is designed to help people of differing faiths and philosophies, denominations or social groupings, ages and experiences, to all come together in a common cause which connects them to one another, that of ‘loving thy neighbor as thy self‘. The purpose is to ‘fulfill the Good News of Jesus Christ’ in practical and tangible ways that reflects His Spirit putting His truths in action. The recipients of these gifts will hear from the students, volunteers and adults only, “because God loves you” or “Jesus loves you”, when they ask why they are receiving these goods. Our hope is that these programs can be used in various types of school systems to help teach our children the meaning of giving your time and efforts for community service can be its own reward… and a Blessed one.
